New! Overgeneralizations and Distortions by Pseudo-Skeptics“Devotion to the truth is the hallmark of morality; there is no greater, nobler, more heroic form of devotion than the act of a man who assumes the responsibility of thinking.” - Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged
Re: New! Overgeneralizations and Distortions by Pseudo-SkepticsThat's an interesting way of putting it. Is this board made with the general goal of opposing materialistic worldviews, or just to counter skeptics? I have a materialistic worldview, but I am against skeptics (and modern science, for that matter).
Banned by the JREF Board for calling them on their "bullshit"...

Re: New! Overgeneralizations and Distortions by Pseudo-SkepticsActually, I mostly came here to debate with skeptics.
Shermer has been getting a lot closer to me ideologically than he used to, but I haven't really been following him closely. I don't read skeptic stuff. Banned by the JREF Board for calling them on their "bullshit"...
Re: New! Overgeneralizations and Distortions by Pseudo-SkepticsWell at this point, there are no skeptics and debunkers on this forum. They talked about coming in at the JREF, but they didn't.
You don't have to read Shermer. He has paranormal debunking shows on YouTube. You can see how he treats things even when he gets hits or debunks himself. “Devotion to the truth is the hallmark of morality; there is no greater, nobler, more heroic form of devotion than the act of a man who assumes the responsibility of thinking.” - Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged
Re: New! Overgeneralizations and Distortions by Pseudo-SkepticsFunny, JREF people are always eager to jump into any fray, since they regard their opponents as sources of entertainment. I guess they've burned out on you.

Re: New! Overgeneralizations and Distortions by Pseudo-SkepticsDebunkers think all UFO photos are fake,
especially the real ones.
