I'll have to do some more digging, but my understanding is the left brain/right brain thing came from some studies in the 60s and while there is no question that each half of the brain is responsible for certain things, the interaction between the two halves are complex. The left/brained right brained person idea has been discredited.

If you have actual scientific information otherwise I'd certainly change my mind, but my understanding is that the consensus is that it is a myth.
