The Mothman sightings in West Virginia 1967. A hundred plus witnesses can't be all lying or deluded. One of the best cases for the paranormal ever. I saw the film with Richard Gere. It was very spooky. Here is a 5 part longer documentary about the Mothman. It is very convincing and scary. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tO830ynPzA0Here also is the Hollywood film about it starring Richard Gere. The whole thing is uploaded on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCreHuAcuskHere is an Art Bell program about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EqCkxvueAgHere is the segment from Unsolved Mysteries: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjqdPInH ... EtR147hILY Here is a segment about it from Weird TV. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ALEA8xWW4gVery convincing! 100+ eyewitnesses can't be wrong, especially since many sightings were by MULTIPLE PEOPLE AT THE SAME TIME! Pseudoskeptics have no way to dispute this one!

yes they can all be wrong
there is a case very famous of a bear that went missing in germany (netherlands?) in the newspapers they printed out the story of the missing bear there were over 2000 people that saw the bear everywhere
the thing is that the bear died really close to the zoo the same day they printed out the story
so yes..100people can be wrong wether you accept it, you like it or not you just like to deceive yourself

For every person who reads this valuable book there are hundreds of naïve souls who would prefer to have their spines tingled by a sensational but worthless potboiler by some hack journalist of the paranormal. You who now read these sentences join a small but wiser minority. Martin Gaardner (Psychology of the Psychic)

I have always found the stories about 'Mothman' very interesting. As far as logical explanations for some of the sightings I will tell you that a barred owl can fit the description quite well. Those suckers are huge and when they take off in flight they can seem almost human sized. But I still believe there is something unexplained out there for all of those stories and sightings to have been started.

not really like i said in this case you only needed one couple making a mistake and telling everybody the monster they saw to start the paraedolia and mass hallucinations as simple as that
here in my city a cop on duty saw a witch flying in a broom 2 days later a couple of kids saw her too.. you only need one to start a fire thats it

A sandhill crane! LOL Well, that settles it, then.
Wag, you never disappoint, but that's only because I expect you to say something very stupid.
The "moth-man" didn't resemble a moth or butterfly in any way other than having wings. The name "moth-man" came from an episode of "BATMAN" that aired around the same time as the sightings.
