Even within the psychic industry it is believed that those who have to promote themselves with hype and Barnumesque attitudes are FRAUDS. The majority of psychics who are worth anything, function through word of mouth. Granted, some limited advertising effort might be required when you first move into town or whatever, but even that is kept low key... a three or four line classified ad or some such.

When people that do Readings get commercial they loose perspective and "betray" the craft or calling. This has always been the view, even echoed in the words of Lord Buddha as well as other great teachers.
