Re: Congressman calls evolution lie from 'pit of hell'And I thought that my Sunday comics was the only laugh I was going to get this morning.
Hey really?... obviously you ain't from around these parts... are ya?
Re: Congressman calls evolution lie from 'pit of hell'Maybe it's someone else, but I thought this was the same clown that more or less places all aspects of science in the same hell-hole.
This is part of a very frightening movement within the American right-extreme religion culture however. I've seen other articles and been pointed to sermons here and there over the past two years, in which this thinking is trending and unfortunately, being bought into by the patrons of these cults. . . my own mother is getting sucked into it and she used to be rather intelligent about things. She and my father are of that demographic these "preachers" are targeting however; the 65+ and "lonely"/"desperate" sorts with money who have a long history tied to a "Baptist-like" mind set. Take a look at states like Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, etc. where Creationism has been made the legal view taught in public schools and Evolution more or less criminalized and abolished. These people have a very dangerous agenda that will take society backward in mind set vs. forward. Not to politicize this thread but if Romney ends up in office this situation will expand quickly given his pseudo-religious stance on things vs. Obama's understanding and respect for science a.k.a. Reality vs. Fantasy.
Re: Congressman calls evolution lie from 'pit of hell'I like that. . . kudos goes to the pup!
