A recent article in New Scientist demolishes Darwins theory as the greatest blunder in groupthink for 150yrs.
Professor Woese leading evolutionary scientist explains the 150yrs of false groupthink as "complacency" Too kind a word, I think.
Darwins theory that small changes in breeding piegeons given enough time could produce all lifeforms is proven utterly false by Professor Woese in New Scientist. This is the very line used by Dawkins in all of his scientific life justifiyng his tirades against the unbeliever, and his attacks on religions. Dawkins life has been a tragic utter waste not to mention his misleading destructive influence on millions of people with his pseudoscience. After Hitchins and Randi "came out" recently, we might expect Dawkins to confess to being a married gay, the reason for his irrational lifelong rancour, toward an "intolerant society" that he thinks needs to be punished. The bible most of all. This could be the death of militant atheism.

For every person who reads this valuable book there are hundreds of naïve souls who would prefer to have their spines tingled by a sensational but worthless potboiler by some hack journalist of the paranormal. You who now read these sentences join a small but wiser minority. Martin Gaardner (Psychology of the Psychic)

I think a 5th grader could have understood the article. There are some good students in our school system.
What's interesting is the join date and the dates of the user's posts:

Is there a problem with the reported join date?

He's been around since that date.
We have a lot of 'lurkers' who like to read the topics. Not everyone posts.
Secondly, you guys need to lighten up on your responses.

Welcome lurker. To lighten up the response let me put it this way, no where does it say in evolution that the following is true: 1. Any species purposes evolves in any direction 2. Any species will evolve 3. Any species can involve in any direction
So to claim that Darwinism claims that any species can evolve to all other lifeforms is untrue. Another important issue is that Darwinism explains the diversity of life. The existence of DNA and the manner in which genes change was not known at the time of Darwin. So to say that learning that the manner in which genetic material is altered is more complicated than thought does not affect Darwinism.
Woese says that there are other mechanisms for evolution to take place. He does not say that evolution does not happen. In fact, Woese says that there is another potential mechanism at work that may apply to more complex organisms than single cells creatures.
Science has the ability to change as new information is discovered. Religion cannot. The bible is a fixed work that does not reflect the world around us. When science needs to be altered it is according to the best evidence available.
The remainder of the post about homophobia is irrelevant. The death of atheism? No. Evolution is a fact. Darwinism is a theory to explain the observed fact. Evolution is a fact external to religious thinking. It is a natural fact, not a supernatural fact. Thus claims of supporting religion or god are unfounded.

Hey, you there. Yes, you. If what I say sounds like the teacher from Charlie Brown (Wah wahh woohh wuh waah), then you should try college. It's fun, and only costs you your soul and several tens of thousands of dollars. “I agree that by the standards of any other area of science that remote viewing is proven“ - Richard Wiseman Let's make directional hypotheses, test them repeatedly, replicate experiments, and publish results! Yay, science!
