Skeptics like myself like to promote reason, it's one of the things skeptic do, but isn't talked much if at all on forums such as this one and others. However, some people prefer unreason which is a dangerous and insidious. This is what can happen and does happen when unreason wins over reason. Now you might argue this is an isolated incident, but it isn't Not many years ago in Africa there occurred supposed witch burnings of women. Video of the incident can be seen on Youtube. The point I'm making is unreason can and does manifest sometimes with harmful to horrible consequences. So the next time a skeptic is presenting a reasonable position just be mindful of why they are.
