Interesting. Of course Judaism says that the messiah has not come. Christians say he made it. Muslims say he came and was succeeded by another prophet.
What I find much more interesting than this is that the archaeological evidence does not support the biblical claims. So to argue from a document that does not appear in many ways to be correct can only lead to problems.
The issue with the meanings of words is important. People often take the translation to be correct and not part of the controversy. But we see even today that people want to reinterpret the words that are spoken. Good examples of this:
1. Silverstein says pull it and people claim it means controlled demolition. Pull it does not mean knocking down a skyscraper. It's not a standard term for CD. It refers to pulling a building over with cables. So to suggest that Silverstein was aware of this technique and applied it to the WTC is lunacy.
2. GW saying "new world order" is a statement which is taken out of context so often. It's so ridiculous.
Anyways, as this cut and paste points out it is important to know the words. It's important to understand the words and their connotation.
