I'm Ellie. I'm an archaeologist with a background in university physics, complex mathematics and philosophy of science. My current research interests involve neuroscience, psychology (particularly evolutionary) and human/group behaviour. I joined this forum after interesting experiences with groups of people who call themselves sceptics, often rather aggressively, but who are not. I've become very curious about this and I'm currently looking at doing more in-depth study into the behaviour of these groups from a psychological point of view. I've found very little on the popular internet, besides this site, which acknowledges a problem with modern 'Skepticism' and people's understanding of what scepticism is. Type in 'sceptic' or 'scepticism' and I merely get a staggering number of sites and youtube clips which misrepresent these terms. More data is required and that's where all you lovely people come in

Cheers!

Ellie.
