This guy is the Truest Skeptic I've ever seen. The more you listen to him, the more you understand why.
First, check out his honest intro about it, where he gets into deep points about the subconscious mind and unseen things, then says that telekinesis is not paranormal, just some force we don't understand. This guy seems very intelligent and sensible. He says that you gotta program the subconscious mind with your intentions first.
Then check out his telekinesis demonstration under a glass bowl, after 9 months of practice.
Impressive huh? It moves slowly but surely, under the glass bowl.

This is well traveled stuff. It's science not pk.

The spinning piece of foil has about a dozen variants including that of making a pen spin about, most all of it a matter of 5th grade science... at least, in my experience. HOWEVER, there are several version that have been marketed within the magician's market that are gimmicked in a variety of sometimes "clever" ways. When I talk about PK/TK on stage and in my Psychic Development Classes I too state that it's nothing "super natural" (as I do with most all Psychic type things); my explanation taking into account a rare anomaly (about one in twenty) within the human physiology that is sometimes quite pronounced that results in a person exhibiting an exceptionally potent form of "static" or what medical researchers have coined "bio-electro-magnetic current" in that the phenomena brings about situations quite similar to magnets being set near a compass, most watches, electronics, magnetic storage devices, etc. Some of these individuals have such a powerful magnetic/electrical field around themselves that they must wear a grounding wire almost constantly so as to prevent shocking others or damaging electronic devices in their homes, cars, etc. This includes causing tools and other items that are of the appropriate material base, to become magnetic within relatively short time exposure (use) by them. I believe I've mentioned this before, when I first came here and it is something Banachek and I have had a few discussions on over the years in that it does offer some sound plausibility to things that goes a bit beyond other energy field explanation like Chi or Reiki, etc. Not to disclose things too much here, but I'd suggest those that buy into the whole PK thing, especially elementary demonstrations of this sort, learn a bit about working with neodymium Magnets and Kevlar thread strands (we're talking about fibers you can barely see under a magnifying lens that are outrageously strong) as well as Wooly Nylon...

Here is a Psi manual that Darryl recommends: http://www.psipog.net/thepsionshandbook01.pdfHere are his deep thoughts about why telekinesis works, and is merely a natural phenomena we don't understand yet, hence he doesn't believe in the word "paranormal".

Here Darryl Sloan calmly expresses his disgust with the Randi crowd and their attacks on his telekinesis experiments. Wow look how rational he is. The part where he says that the paradigm of the skeptics is that "The known laws of physics are the ONLY reality" is spot on and so true.

you seem to focus only on the person with the adjectives ¨sensible¨ ¨honest skeptic¨ ¨rational¨
and you are chosing not to heard what previous posters are telling you that seems kind of ¨irrational¨ to me

What do you think, Ninja, would you call this Sloan guy a skeptic? At least from how he presents in this video?

Look! Darryl does real telekinesis at a distance without using his hands! He is the real deal.
Another experiment he did in a sealed environment without hands.
Static electricity ruled out.
Here Darryl proves that he's a true skeptic, by debunking obvious fakes on YouTube by telekinesis hoaxters and explains how to spot them.
Here Darryl explains why supernatural experiences are not always real, demonstrating yet again that he is a real skeptic who does not jump to conclusions and is not quick to believe paranormal stories at all.

Assuming for the sake of discussion that Darryl is presenting a true account of the events as he sees them and is not indulging in trickery of any kind, his videos still do not prove telekinesis.
One problem with Darryl's logic in all this is that he states explicitly that he does not understand how this works or what might be causing the wheel to move. This is a large problem, since that means he is making an assumption that he is causing the wheel to turn with telekinesis.
He himself says that he can't do this every time and has a spotty record of success. It could be there is something about the wheel that makes it move periodically that has nothing to do with Darryl's attentions or telekinesis in general. Perhaps his sucesses are more along the line of coincidences.
That is not good skepticism. He should be doing experiments to try to falsify his telekinesesis theory. He has no idea if he is deluding himself or not.
He is well spoken and makes enjoyable videos, but that is not enough.
Regards, Canis
