I've not waded through all of this but I do have transcripts tied to one particular set of tapes in which Randi is playing Uncle Pervy. Too, as I understand things, Randi has been "investigated" on a couple of other incidents in which young lads were involved, including some illegal immigrant types (ironically, I think they were Haitian). There are likewise former employees of Tannens Magic from the 1970s and early 80s who claim (privately) that Randi has made advances on them when they were well under age. For me, far too many coincidences pointing in the same direction, tied to the same common factors.

Michael Jackson was stigmatized on less, so how is St. James getting off the hook?

This is one aspect to the Randi issue that I've wanted to gain more supporting details on because it is one of the black marks on his resume that seems to be best buried... I just can't find someone capable of following the money trail... the number of kids that the old guy put through college who are likewise tied to these "rumors"

Can anyone date the tapes?

In one of them he mentions that he nearly "came to blows" with Jule Eisenbud on TV -- this during the Ted Serios saga. This likely puts them as being made in 1967.

In any case, in my judgement the 2nd recording particularly renders a joke Randi's "explanation" for the tapes and how they came to be. The caller claims to have got Randi's number from their mutual friend Ricky. Ricky is later brought up in the conversation again and Randi says: "Have you ever done it with Ricky?" "He's been up here a few times". 9.5 inches!!! Maybe he does deserve the "Amazing" appellation after all.

Incidentally I think much of Randi's for the tape is totally bogus. Punching a ufo enthusiast on stage to a standing ovation??? Can witnesses be produced from this very public gathering? This assertion that at the Byrd Randi trial the "sex tape" was played at Randi's insistence!

What else is delilberate deception? Can anything he says be believed? And why are the skeptics so utterly unskeptical about the things he and other CSICOPians say?

Why is this still called blackmail when the contents - true or not - are in the open? I should point out that if the conversations were illegally obtained, then posting them online might also constitute a crime.
