DAMN! I am a professional psychic and I can't follow this dude

I go away for a few days and someone jumps in whining about being abused, having his chain yanked and then presents a "Test" that reads like a poorly thought out statistic's demonstration a.k.a. Psychological Force techniques (thank you Banachek)

Ok... think of a number between 1 and 5. . .

Amateur Night at the Magic Castle

Ok G. Adam I'm NOT one of the ardent skeptics form around here, I really do work as a professional psychic and teacher of metaphysics, but I am likewise a veteran entertainer that specializes in the field of Magic/Mentalism. . .and I should add, I'm one of the better qualified "know-it-alls" of the trade (after 40 years, I should be.) In other words, I know both sides of the proverbial fence when it comes to this stuff and the only thing I keep seeing in your "test" is a way to manipulate statistics. With that in mind I'll propose a test that gets us over that possibility, after all you do want to demonstrate your abilities in a manner that cannot be easily disputed, right?

:!: Oh... I should point out too that those silly Psychic Tests on line, are far from accurate and typically designed to sucker you in to buy something; classes, a Reading, crystals... something! So don't be a sucker for them, accept them for the novelty and amusement they were designed to be. I test psychics with great frequency and so that you can understand that I am fair with this I'll point out that in one situation I was in several years back I was able to investigate & test 100(ish) registered Psychics/Readers in Clark county Nevada and out of that group less than half a dozen even hinted at having anything resembling honest intuition. This is a very common ratio when it comes to similar size groups, if not a hint high. My experience telling me that fewer than 3% of those that THINK they are a "Psychic" of any sort, actually possess anything that comes close to actual "evidence" -- validation to the claim (and I have some very liberal guidelines).

So then, if you really want to take the first step toward "proving" your abilities I need to first understand what ability you are claiming and why you think that so. Let me explain; many people confuse Telepathy & Clairvoyance, the latter being the ability to "see" things such as the amount of change someone has in their pocket, where a missing person might be, etc. They see things that are "hidden" or obscured. The Telepathist however, picks up on "thought" and I emphasize that point in that we do not get a specific word most of the time but the gist of the thought. This is why a true "Intuitionist" (a.k.a. Telepathist) tends to describe what they are picking up on based on feelings, smells, colors, texture, etc. or, when it is a word or number, they offer a "range"

:o DAMN! I just told you how to fake things
. . . guess we'll have skip on the telepathy challenge but you could still kind-of-sort-of do it through a Reading; check in on the old Akashic record and reveal elements about my childhood -- where I lived when I was 3-4 years old -- early memories -- names of pets (can't go with relatives in that they are too easy to look up on line). This is a very simple challenge that cannot be explained away via statistics, psychological reading techniques, etc. Nor can you obtain this information via an on-line search or calling anyone that knew me back then. . .no records, sorry.

I'll even allow you to work with other points in my life so long as you do not reference information tied to my show biz background or material I've published within the world of stage magic and metaphysics.

The point is, you simply need to feed me 3 key bits of hard data and from there WE can start looking at you in a slightly different light.

I do not mean to come off as a jerk but this is something tied close to my actual vocation. I'm not yanking your chain, I'm well spoken on this forum when it comes to defending the Psychic scenario but I'm far from being a gullible New Age nut job too; I'm a realist living in a very real world, I invite you to be a part of it. ;)

Hi Craig!

LOL how can I CON anyone by putting myself up for objective testing?

Do you think I can crack MD5 and WINZIP encryption?

Are you all afraid I'll cash in on Oprah before you figure out how I cheated on the test and everyone will come here and blame you for the phony publicity??

LOOK HERE IS THE PROBLEM - THE REASON THERE IS A RIFT BETWEEN PSYCHICS AND SKEPTICS

http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/1m- ... ation.html
2. Only an actual performance of the stated nature and scope, within the agreed-upon limits, will be accepted. Anecdotal accounts or records of previous events are not accepted nor considered.

No Skeptic will even BOTHER to check out a claim!

IT'S NO DIFFERENT HERE!!!!!

YOU GUYS want a legally water tight 100% specific claim before you even WATCH a paranormal demo!

NO DIFFERENT TO RANDI, AUS SKEPTICS, ASKE, CSICOP.

I had a great skeptic on the line at CSICOP for 5 months! Don. The first email I said "don't get caught up in the red tape or it will never happen! SEEING IS BELIEVING". The next thing they did was add 5 pages to their contract.

OK, THIS IS A FAR AS I GO!

I propose an ONLINE ZENNER CARD TEST.

You ENCRYPT one of 4 words like "WAVY LINES" and TELE-SEND me that word with "remote bibliomancy".

Like so.

[TESTER]
Trial 1. Page 123. Line 34
MD$ (WAVY LINES 394874738393047484940438438)

[ADAM]
Was it "STARS"?

If you don't understand that, then don't just post at me "THAT'S NO GOOD, FAIL!".

QUOTE what part you don't understand and tell me what you don't understand.

Thanks.

I should have just come here saying "ASK ME ANY QUESTION SILENTLY LIKE SO"
and tried to get some of you to test me out, but you don't listen, you don't cooperate!

I have never done anything with online encryption. I dont understand what you are talking about, and I don't know where to start learning about it.

Can you provide a more indepth description of the process you want us to follow, and maybe some links to encryption sites that you want us to use?

Thanks, Canis

It's best if you find a "MD5 CALCULATOR" on your own. (I might own the website if I give the URL and record your secret word)

You just type in WORD followed by RANDOM NUMBERS 394848484847348393938383873737

and click [CREATE MD5]

------------- WHY THE RANDOM NUMBERS? -------------------
Say you go to http://md5-hash-online.waraxe.us/
and type in WAVY LINES

You get MD5 = fcc6b8c01d3418ebed371b7e69c4ac61

But it's too easy to crack. I could go to a MD5 site and type in
STAR 8ab2630ada18b94a005a0c5399d9d483
CIRCLE 0af50777920c1401ab975cab64c4d491
SQUARE 12dec4e1f7ec620651b2b95c440ffac0
WAVY LINES fcc6b8c01d3418ebed371b7e69c4ac61

And I can tell you were thinking of WAVY LINES - the MD5 match!

Weird the MD5 of SQUARE is a date! The end of world date infact isn't it?

----------------- NEXT STEP ------------------------

test trial run!

think of one of the 4 zenner cards above!

Post here the md5, random page number 1..240 and random line number 1..30

and I'll see if I can guess it!

I say we forget about the encryption. Use PMs. For a trial at this level, should be fine.

Ok I will give it a try, but you did not increase my confidence in this encryption thing. You made it seem like it is not too secure.

MD5: 627b4bc85e6a9512b8db76da563d92bf
page 264, line 3

what book are you using?

Page number has to be 1..240.

Just to check you:

1/ thought of a word from SQUARE, CIRCLE, WAVY LINES, or STAR

2/ Then you made up 20 to 30 random digits.

3/ You kept a copy of WORD RANDOM-NUMBERS

4/ You posted the MD5 of that text

?

Too many untried variables. I've passed 200:1 ODDS with 10 mindreads using the MD5.

IF the Zenner test works, THEN we can isolate the variables and try it with no MD5.

why cant it be just i think of a number from 1-100 and you tell me and thats it?
it is just so much trouble your telepathy think
shouldnt you be able to get it anyways?

Ok, go with page number 164, line 3

1/yes
2/no - Why twenty to thirty? You did not stipulate 20 to 30. I added about 10. If this was important, why didn't you explain that specifically when I asked you to explain the encryption to me?
3/yes
4/yes

p164 l3 <<cattle left over, some of which she decided not to sell>>

OK tough one! I'm going with SQUARE! As left over cattle graze in fenced paddocks!

If you're telling me I did NOT explain the encryption then that's just lying. You said MORE INDEPTH DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCESS AND LINKS TO ENCRYPTION SITES.

How you got "any ole amount of random digits' when I posted this
You just type in WORD followed by RANDOM NUMBERS 394848484847348393938383873737

is beyond me!

So what's the answer?

I got "any ole amount of random digits" because you posted an vague example with no explanation. That has been the problem all through this and your other threads, you can't or wont properly explain what you are on about.

I am not a liar. We might disagree but that does not make me a liar. I am getting tired of you calling people names. I am done with this experiment, and unlike you, that is the one and only time I will say that and you wont see me posting in this thread again.

My MP5 code was 122333444455555STAR
I was thinking of the zenner star.

I'm rather speechless by all this (rare I know!)

May I suggest anyone wanting to play from this point pick their card using a random number generator at random.org?

Let's assign numbers to the cards:

1. Circle
2. plus sign
3. wavy lines
4. square
5. star

Ok I'll do one: my hash is: 646fdc66386e1a0adc81653bb0822d4a

OK let's put the misunderstanding down to the fact nobody's seen people use MD5 on forums before.

10 digits is near impossible to crack, but banks and CIA work with 30 to 40 digits.

Craig's original MD5 was
MD5: 627b4bc85e6a9512b8db76da563d92bf
page 264, line 3

His ANSWER was 122333444455555STAR
which I get MD5: 218ac383b1f9441278a1268c6e7bf47a

Somehow Craig mixed up his text and we can't score the result unless a valid MD5 text is matched with STAR in it.

It was indeed wavy lines!

wavylines3459834598349058234598

By the way, we haven't discussed how many trials we're doing and what is considered statistically significant.

Hmmmm: just looking into this md5: It doesn't do a random hash (which I thought it did), and this site discusses ways that strings can be identified if you know parts of it: http://forums.devshed.com/security-and- ... 09131.html

I'll continue with this, but forget about the encryption. We'll do it by PM, or not at all. I will PM canis, Profwag, Ninja, and craig: 2 skeptics, 2 proponents.

Agreed?
