But they don't.

The first is merely propaganda for biocentrism - which is more a religious philosophy issue rather than a purely science on (it depends on fine-tuning arguments). As far as the science goes, he refers to a theory which has already been repeatedly and soundly disproven (see my response to article 3).

The second link twists articles to support their presupposed biocentrist view. For example, they report a misunderstanding of the slit experiment as truth. They even have the gall to use a work from 1926 as if it is current scientific theory. The only research article they included can be found in full here: http://www.nature.com/ncomms/journal/v2 ... s1263.html . It was also misconstrued. Yes, the particle tested was huge in comparison to most quantum theory research subjects, but that does not "[show] that quantum weirdness also occurs in the human-scale world" because 430 atoms isn't really in the human-scale world. The paper had NOTHING to do with souls, etc. Very, very big jump on the part of the writer for this biocentrist propaganda.

The third article is complete nonsense and obvious spin. They are in no way "quantum scientists" as the article claims. Hameroff is an anesthesiologist and a professor; Sir Roger Penrose is a mathematical physicist, and though Penrose may be considered "world renown," Hameroff certainly isn't. In fact, they are a bit of a joke now-a-days. Numerous physicists, mathematicians, neuroscientists, computer scientists, and more have disproved important aspects of their Orch-OR Theory. A FEW examples of the disproving, peer-reviewed and published articles can be found with the following information:

I really do hate these media "interpretations" of science. I have never found one that was even remotely accurate.

Yeah believers and some (pseudo? ) skeptics will twist and distort things to fit their worldview. It's irritating! :x

Especially the pseudo skeptics with their reliance on that soon to be ancient paradigm from the time of the dinosaurs that says the mind is the brain .
The media is still way behind but one day they will catch up ;)
