Re: Quantum Theory Proves Consciousness Survives Death?

But they don't.

The first is merely propaganda for biocentrism - which is more a religious philosophy issue rather than a purely science on (it depends on fine-tuning arguments). As far as the science goes, he refers to a theory which has already been repeatedly and soundly disproven (see my response to article 3).

The second link twists articles to support their presupposed biocentrist view. For example, they report a misunderstanding of the slit experiment as truth. They even have the gall to use a work from 1926 as if it is current scientific theory. The only research article they included can be found in full here: http://www.nature.com/ncomms/journal/v2 ... s1263.html . It was also misconstrued. Yes, the particle tested was huge in comparison to most quantum theory research subjects, but that does not "[show] that quantum weirdness also occurs in the human-scale world" because 430 atoms isn't really in the human-scale world. The paper had NOTHING to do with souls, etc. Very, very big jump on the part of the writer for this biocentrist propaganda.

The third article is complete nonsense and obvious spin. They are in no way "quantum scientists" as the article claims. Hameroff is an anesthesiologist and a professor; Sir Roger Penrose is a mathematical physicist, and though Penrose may be considered "world renown," Hameroff certainly isn't. In fact, they are a bit of a joke now-a-days. Numerous physicists, mathematicians, neuroscientists, computer scientists, and more have disproved important aspects of their Orch-OR Theory. A FEW examples of the disproving, peer-reviewed and published articles can be found with the following information:

I really do hate these media "interpretations" of science. I have never found one that was even remotely accurate.

Yeah believers and some (pseudo? ) skeptics will twist and distort things to fit their worldview. It's irritating! :x

Especially the pseudo skeptics with their reliance on that soon to be ancient paradigm from the time of the dinosaurs that says the mind is the brain .
The media is still way behind but one day they will catch up ;)

Documents Of Ownership And Occupation, air max pas cher
Lease and release where the owner leases the property to another person for a year, air max pas cher, and then the day after the end of the lease there is a so the lessor (the owner) gives up the right to recover the property from the lessee (the person who leases the property but wants to buy it). Once the release was made, air max pas cher, it was effectively the same as an ordinary bargain and sale.
There are also leaseholds, air max pas cher, where the owner of the property (landlord) rents the property to someone else (tenant). Most leases were for:
A year
A term of years (usually 7 years or a multiple of 7 years)
A term of lives (usually 3),air max pas cher.
The date
The names of the owner and lessee
A description of the property (often along the lines of sett to farm or to farm let class='li-content'>The period of lease
The annual rent
Any to the landlord (often rights to woods or minerals on the land)
Any (special conditions),air max pas cher.
Deeds should give a short description of the property and its location; they will also give the names of former owners and occupiers. If there are abstracts of title, air max pas cher, they may contain extracts from earlier deeds that have been lost. was copyhold) so there may be records of the building in the manor court rolls and books. Deeds tend to be kept in bundles so you should find a series of deeds for the same property in that bundle in an archive, but bundles often broken up and sold.
Deeds tend to contain a lot of legal terms, so you need to have a working knowledge of property law note that they are often in Latin until the 16th century. Getting hold of the deeds themselves can be a problem, air max pas cher, as they are often not indexed in record offices. When you do find them, air max pas cher, they will need careful handling; they may be hard to unfold without damaging, so there will be a written on the back that is,air max pas cher, on the outside of the folded document to identify it. The further back the deeds go, the harder you may find it to read the handwriting, so always work backwards.
As well as checking photographs and sketches (see above),air max pas cher, it is also worth checking maps of different dates (see Chapter 7 for a fuller discussion of maps). You may be able to work out roughly when the building was first built, air max pas cher, from when it first appears on a map; and,air max pas cher, depending on the scale of the map,air max pas cher, you might also be able to see whether the building changed in size and shape between maps of different dates, air max pas cher, which will help you pin down alteration dates. Owner/occupier names are shown on some maps.
If the building existed before 1939 you should be able to find it on an Ordnance Survey map; if it existed before the first Ordnance Survey map for the area was made, air max pas cher, you may find it on a tithe map; and you may also find its occupants in the census returns and rate books (see Chapter 3).
The most important thing with maps is to start with the latest Ordnance Survey map and work backwards. Note that the property may be shown on old county maps (for example, air max pas cher, in Norfolk you would look at Bryant or Greenwood),air max pas cher, but any drawings tend to be of large properties only. Your local records office will be able to give you advice on sources of other maps.
Date, air max pas cher, time and place of auction
Details of the main building, air max pas cher, its construction and any machinery and outbuildings included, air max pas cher, as well as a description of the land and its extent (in acres, roods and perches)
Detailed description of a house, air max pas cher, for example, on 14 June 1907 a sale of a mill complex at Beccles listed Capital Brick, Plaster and Tiled Dwelling-House and described the rooms as Room, Drawing Room, Spamalamadingdong, air max pas cher, two Pantries, air max pas cher, Office and Five Bedrooms as well as a garden and orchard.
