Let's see .. the computer was programmed to look for recurring patterns in subjects who were attempting to recall specific scenes, and then, guess which 1 of 3 recurring patterns it recognized, which it did with a success rate of 12% above chance. Gosh, almost like mind reading .. except the computer doesn't know what was in the subject's mind .. it was just looking for recurring electrical patterns and guessing.

It looks like it would make a perfect replacement for The Clapper (Clap on! Clap off! The clapper!). But the person will have to wear a wire bathing cap.

so .. um .. yeah .. they have no idea what's happening. It's guesswork. And it isn't mind reading at all, just brainwave tricks.
