Online consultation experince

Hello! My mom is old and having a hard time walking. her doctor recommended online consultation so that she wont get tired going to his clinic. With that, We can consult him and ask question about her condition. Anybody here have tried it? What video conferencing software did your health provider use? Thanks!

Hi! I haven't heard of this yet but it's interesting. My grandmother is older and we have been having a hard time bringing her to the clinic for check ups. Maybe I should ask the staff in the clinic on our next visit.

I discovered that it will depend on what EHR your doctor is using. HIPAA, apparently, has rules on video conferencing as well. I believe they call it telehealth? So your doctor should have a software before you can have consultation with your doctor from the comfort of your own home - no travel needed! Unfortunately, my mom's doctor does not have the said system yet - but he promised he will - soon!
