Belief Systems

I have a question(s) for everyone here. Are there any belief systems that exist today and that have existed in all of human history that were and are free of contradictions and complete? Can a believe system ever be created that is both free from any contradictions and ever truly be complete? If yes, can anyone show me what belief systems are truthfully free of contradictions and that ever was free of any contradictions but still remained complete? It needed nothing else including any more scrutiny or examination. It was, is perfect, and can be perfect. Can anyone on here design a belief system that is both free from any contradictions yet complete.

How can a belief system be complete when we have imperfect knowledge?

This is an excellent question. Is it even possible to have perfect knowledge? If we did have perfect knowledge how would we know? What would be the measure to use that determines what perfection even is?

It may be possible to have perfect knowledge on a given topic, but impossible to KNOW that we have perfect knowledge. Much safer to assume that we don't have perfect knowledge but that we are doing the best that we can with the information we have, and that we should search for more knowledge to improve on past beliefs.

I think I will accept what you say is true. It seems reasonable to me. Sometimes, one should put aside looking for better knowledge, relax and have a martini.

There's no single "religion" that's survived all of recorded history but there are some elementary "wisdoms" that are common to the majority of world history, the most prevalent being what is best known as the "Golden Rule" for which there's more than 5,000 known versions with a few pre-dating Babylon.

There was a Buddhist group that put out a little booklet a few years ago (ok. . . about 20 years ago) called "The Golden Thread" and all it had in it were these various forms of the same teaching, the group it came from and accredited age. It's a very interesting read but what hits me the hardest is that this concept has existed for more than 7 millennia and yet, humanity has yet to catch on to what it means let alone applying it to our lives.
