Transcending Fear - Very Awakening

Postby Scepcop » 22 Apr 2012, 22:43

Clips from "V for Vendetta" about the nature of the world we live in, (even though the film is set in a future dystopia). The last few slides about how transcending fear opens up a new world of possibilities that allows one to create their own reality are the most awakening words I've ever read! A must see!

“Devotion to the truth is the hallmark of morality; there is no greater, nobler, more heroic form of devotion than the act of a man who assumes the responsibility of thinking.” - Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

I've been catching bits and pieces of this film over the past weeks.

If this was a math video it would be like this:

There is such a thing as math, math is how people can build with accuracy and it is the basis for codes such as binary or fibonacci sequence and is viewed as one of the most fundamental conceptual tools for this reality. To do math one must go to the internal mind, not the external phsyical world. Only here can we grasp the principles of this amazing facet of life.

While very inspiring it didn't reveal how to do math.

Wow nice share, thanks. I especially find the bit about how we create our own reality really interesting.

ONLY by transcending fear can we be free.

The animal organism's sole purpose is to survive, so using the mind as it's tool it instinctively reacts with fear against anything we *believe* we should, and our beliefs are entirely subjective and programmed into us mainly linguistically by our culture/s. We are, for the most part, free of physiological pain and starvation in the modern age, yet we still live our lives completely based in instinctual and irrational fear. Desire is simply inverted fearfulness whereby we use objects of desire (again based in cultural programming and instincts) to distract us from our fear, which is truly the fear of the end of existing. Exoteric religious beliefs are a direct result of this; numerous series' of human psychological projections of theistic belief patterns, emanating from different cultures throughout the world.

Esoteric understanding can only be garnished from and is nothing other than, going beyond the instinctually fuelled psyche/mind. Meditation is the method, but a deeper level understanding of the nature of things - and a commitment to overcoming materialism including experientialism - is needed prior to engaging in it. So Winnie-the-wu cannot expect to get anywhere by meditating in between morning and late-afternoon Taiwanese massage parlour visits lol.
