Why do private messages not leave the Outbox immediately?

I had to wait literally an entire day before yesterday's private messages left my Outbox.

Quantum - If you would like to test this, send me a 'test' PM and we can see if it's nothing more than a glitch or a problem. I have noticed the same thing but my theory is that the PM stays in your 'outbox' until it is picked up by the recipient and not actually held back from being sent.

OK, good to know that this has not been an ongoing thing for you. Bugs in a system can be a real PIA. I'll see if I can find out if this is a phpBB Group thing or 'normal' for this system.
