That's interesting. What about the claim of psychiatrists that excess of one chemical (I forget the name of it) has been linked to mental illness?
I used to have severe OCD and some other disorder that doesn't even exist in the DSM manual. After I recovered from it, my mental and spiritual states were elevated. I was smarter, able to think and write well, and became more articulate in my communication skills. It was like my power of insight and communication were greatly heightened to new levels.
So I theorized that perhaps mental disorders were a form of mental or spiritual growth where the physical brain is unable to cope and therefore malfunctions for a while before adjusting
