Hey whats up everybody i'm new to the forum and I wouldn't describe myself as a skeptic just a person searching for the truth. Don't get me wrong I am skeptical of paranormal and normal things I hear. I am neutral, but lean more toward the spiritual side.I like this website because not only does it debunk skeptics, but also christian fundamentalist and new agers.

Welcome. I guess if you're "rarely impressed" then this must be a rare occurrence that you're impressed with this site eh? lol j/k

A true skeptic isn't afraid to debunk or disagree with even tenets from his/her own beliefs. Many of my views are "New Ageish" for example, but when they start making bogus claims that don't make sense, I call them out. A true skeptic is skeptical of all sides, including their own.

Very few are willing to do that.

Anyone can claim to be a skeptic, but it depends on what you're skeptical of. The skeptics on this forum that we debate tend to be only skeptical of anything that challenges materialism, for example. But they have not shown that they are capable of applying any skepticism toward materialistic beliefs.
