To see the photo in question and to see another analysis check here:
Claims on this site that are apparently wrong:
1. The rifle to height ratio is wrong
2. The shadows are wrong
Claim 1 is a simple issue of projective shortening. Claim 2 is more difficult to discern and is addressed in the more recent analysis.

Interesting stuff ND. I've always wondered why, if Oswald was so innocent and a patsy, did he shoot Officer Tippit?

What I think is the most interesting part of this is that shadows played a role in this photo and I recall shadows being called into question in some 9/11 ideas and in the claims of a moon landing hoax. The point is that people are bad at understanding shadows. I have noticed the same problem when creating photo realistic scenes in a 3d program. I have to play with the lighting to get the scene to be believable although the scene is always a correct scene. It seems that I have to address the issue of poor shadowing understanding that is a part of being human.

When we want to be a true skeptic we need to understand the limitations of our senses in interpreting what is and is not. This goes hand in hand in understanding the limitations of any devices we use to record events be it a camera, video, sound recording, or what we write, or just our memories of something experienced.
