I noticed that the possible Champ video was not posted here, so I decided to post it. They say that he lives in lake Champlain in the United States. I wonder if it's real?

It's more likely to be a white tail deer. Moose, a member of the deer family, are less common in Vermont especially along the western border by Lake Champlain due to a parasite carried by the deer. The buoy behind the moving object is small making it seem more reasonable that the object is a deer. Pretty scene. Looks like it might be shot just south of Burlington. Too bad the video is cut off right before the deer emerges from the water.
There is often a Champ get together in Vermont. Sonar studies of the lake have turned up no creatures, but have turned up many interesting shipwrecks including parts of Benedict Arnold's fleet that prevented the British from making their way south from Montreal. Scimitars were not available - beware January 19, 2038 is upon us.

I've seen deer swimming across hundreds of yards of water. I have not seen moose swim far. Deer appear to be good swimmers. The deer I've seen swim were not motivated by predators. They were crossing a long lake by swimming.
What I think is interesting by this shot is that the deer population of Vermont isn't that big and deer are not seen as often as places such as New Jersey, Virginia or PA. Scimitars were not available - beware January 19, 2038 is upon us.

Don't know what the rules are for posting images, but try typing "deer swimming" into a search engine and see all of the photos pop up.
