On one level (psychological) the paranoia side of this condition is related to Agoraphobia, a condition I have a mild (and worsening) relationship with (kind of odd, given a lifetime of travel and working around massive groups of people). My shrink has even suggested that I've developed a sensitivity to modern life which is one reason why I have difficulty focusing and even sleeping; studies revealing that just having your cpu in sleep mode along with chargers & other transformers in a home, create symptoms of insomnia, agitation, anxiety, nightmares, and of course depression (more as the result of loss sleep and a perceived "pain" which some theories suggest, ties to the syndromes like Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, etc.)
We do know that persons living close to power-lines, radio & Tv transmitters, radar installations, etc. have unique physical as well as mental issues. This has been well established since the early 1960s I believe (the mid-70s giving us long-term studies that support said matters). There have been limited responses to these complaints, including the experiment of burying all power, phone and other cables vs. the suspended techniques that have been popular since the 1800's and Mr. Morse's little invention let alone the wonderful mess found in the inner-cities where electric trollies were at work.
Basic physics tells us that any displacement of energy will bring about a set of rippling effects. It stands to reason then, that the dynamics of radiant energy as it moves through electrical wires, radio & other transmission signals that meander through the air, etc. have to bring about some kind of physical manifestation. I can't help but believe that a large amount of this side-effect is known of but being kept under-tabs because of the Greed factor that rules over the globe. So long as money mongers hold the reigns, we surfs have little ground to stand on for the sake of personal defense. Running away and living off the grid seems to be extreme but a pleasant alternative. . . If I were able to, I'd joint this caravan in a hot second. My medical situation however, though partly due to these things (check out the demographics about MS) leaves me co-dependent on the system, for now.Statistics: Posted by Craig Browning — 30 Jul 2012, 23:54
