The anomalies and mysteries surrounding the Moon are legion and its origin
You'd think the brainiac would at least use the right word to describe what he's stirring paranoia about. . . if these mysteries are in fact "legion" where's the army in question?
Yes, the moon is an "artificial satellite" in that it wasn't there originally but came alone as the earth got struck by an asteroid or maybe even another planet waaaaay back when everything was spinning about and forming. It is not however the "Death Star" or any kind of "sending antenna" used to control us, it's a bit "rock" that has form, limited atmosphere, its own gravity and is in an outward expanding orbit around the earth which will ultimately cause us to lose its all so necessary physical influence on our little orb. . . then again, there won't be much life left on earth by the time the moon finally leaves our orbit path, the wobble and other physics will insure such. . . but we have a good half-million or so years before that happens.
I think Mr. Icke needs to stop sewing the 2001 Space Odyssey into his "science" -- there are no monoliths on the moon, no secret (hidden) societies or technology resting beneath its surface and before we go there. . .Mars is likewise a doubtful alternative here.
Now, in Defense of this Supposition. . .
There are some very ancient teachings within various aboriginal cultures that do suggest that human life as it is known today, is the result of either the earth being set aside as a kind of "prison" such as was done with Australia and other lands in which penal colonies were set and a society grew up and out of them over time. There is likewise anthropological data that supports the idea that an extra-terrestrial life form used the earth as a kind of "life boat" at one point, about 10,000 years or so ago, via which their DNA was mixed with that of the hominid creatures that were natural to the planet. Unfortunately there hasn't been a single bit of supportive data discovered on either ancient theory, just a huge puzzle given how well the ancient shaman mapped the skies and understood not just the cycles and movements of our planetary system but a much wider level of cosmic mechanics, much of which has only been "discovered" and thus confirmed through NASA and other space agencies in the past 25 years. So maybe there is more to the proverbial portrait that's yet to be learnt. . . for now however such concepts must be laid to the side with the tales of Lemuria, Atlantis and Shangri-La .
