Anti-spam measures

Don't wish to reply to spam with more spam, and I would Private message this to you Scepcop but can't. I use peoplesign for anti-spam measures and haven't had one spammer bot pass the registration on our phpbb3 board since. Just google it and have a look it might be what your looking for, doesn't take long to install and it's free. Again apologies, but it's only a suggestion - not a spamming recommendation.

plodsie: if you click on the Exclamation mark icon, it sends an email directly to the mods when you report the post. I'm assuming scepcop will get a copy but at least ninja will!

Thanks. I'll check it out. However, most spammers now are not bots. They are human spammers, hired in foreign countries, to advertise websites. That's why these anti-spam measures may not work.

The easiest way to get rid of spam is to require the poster's first post to be reviewed by a mod.
