Evolution and the afterlife? My RMPS(religious moral and philosophical studies) teacher proposed an interesting question about evolution and the afterlife today and it made me wonder if the afterlife fits in with evolution in any way ? iv tried to find some more information on this but I remain uncessesfull, anyone have ny options or links?
Re: Evolution and the afterlife? The Rosicrucian-based formulas I tend to lean on when it comes to reincarnation flow with Darwin's pronouncements in that the consciousness or soul-self has been and must be of 'ALL' things; we start of as the monad in other words and as we mature consciously and spiritually we likewise evolve from the lower forms of sentient to the higher.
AFTER LIFE is a strange concept that is relatively "new" when you look at what's been embraced most the world over for the longest time (Reincarnation). Having a Heaven or Hell and all such trappings started at around the same time as One God belief. Granted, there is the constant found in the older mythologies about the River Styx and journey through the underworld which actually does connect to reincarnation theory, the problem is that people fall in love with part of an idea and forget to complete their studies or else, censor the rest of a teaching which results in a theological & cultural evolution through which we journey the underworld to some kind of Nirvana or Utopian place. There is "a truth" to this but most of us do not understand it for what it is. The real irony is that the Book of Revelation in it's closing verses, gives us a more concise idea as to what these things mean -- Humankind as a whole, finding its perfection on the mental and spiritual level and making a heaven of earth a.k.a. restoring paradise. This is the actual promise most all prophetic traditions share, though each use different words and ideas for getting there. Nonetheless, this is the goal and it comes by way of evolution on the mental, physical, emotional, carnal and spiritual levels.
Re: Evolution and the afterlife?I think the ideas of evolution and afterlife are totally mutually exclusive, as evolution is about just physical life and afterlife means the eternal life of a spirit, which has nothing to do with biology.

Re: Evolution and the afterlife? That is a very good question if you can figure out "what" is being questioned!
Is there an "afterlife"? And if so "what"? Would happen if there was a such as an "afterlife"?
Re: Evolution and the afterlife? There is also "spheres"?
Like balloons? or raindrops? or what? Like "spherical objects" that are round?
Re: Evolution and the afterlife?yes i am all for virgins.
