Sheldrake is wrong in the video when he says there is a question about the million dollars and where it is. The money is held in an account by Goldman Sachs and the quarterly statement can be viewed here:

Also, there is no stipulation in the rules of the MDC which requires the odds of success to be a million to one to win the million dollars as Sheldrake states in the video.

I wonder if the 'facts' his research turns up are as faulty as these.

And I to would like to read the results of the joint experiments Sheldrake did with Chris French. Is there a link to information about their research?

Dude, you don't know shit. Sheldrake's tests were a SUCCESS and applauded in the paranormal community. Randi couldn't take it so he lied about Sheldrake. Sheldrake pointed this out in his speech here. Do you think it was right for Randi to lie about Sheldrake? You have no problem with it right, cause you are a cult fanatic, so anything your hero does is justified, including lying. Such skeptics should be banned from this forum, who can't even admit that one of their heros was caught lying red handed. Pathetic.

The January 2000 issue of Dog World magazine included an article on a possible sixth sense in dogs, which discussed some of my research. In this article Randi was quoted as saying that in relation to canine ESP, "We at the JREF [James Randi Educational Foundation] have tested these claims. They fail." No details were given of these tests.

I emailed James Randi to ask for details of this JREF research. He did not reply. He ignored a second request for information too.

I then asked members of the JREF Scientific Advisory Board to help me find out more about this claim. They did indeed help by advising Randi to reply. In an email sent on Februaury 6, 2000 he told me that the tests he referred to were not done at the JREF, but took place "years ago" and were "informal". They involved two dogs belonging to a friend of his that he observed over a two-week period. All records had been lost. He wrote: "I overstated my case for doubting the reality of dog ESP based on the small amount of data I obtained. It was rash and improper of me to do so."

Randi also claimed to have debunked one of my experiments with the dog Jaytee, a part of which was shown on television. Jaytee went to the window to wait for his owner when she set off to come home, but did not do so before she set off. In Dog World, Randi stated: "Viewing the entire tape, we see that the dog responded to every car that drove by, and to every person who walked by." This is simply not true, and Randi now admits that he has never seen the tape.

Does anyone take research in dog ESP seriously outside the 'paranormal community'? Let's be honest, the paranormal community buys into a lot of questionable stuff which has never been proven.

Scientific research is peer reviewed and tested repeatedly by others to insure that one researcher isn't using flawed data or procedures. Have Sheldrake's experiments been repeated and peer reviewed by other researchers? Is there any information about the joint experiments he claims, in the video, to have conducted with Chris French?

It isn't right for anyone to lie to support their position and it appears, based on your quote above from Sheldrake's own site, that Randi admitted he was wrong to say what he did with regard to his research with his friend's dogs.

I pointed out two lies Sheldrake told in the video. Do you think it is okay for him to lie about these aspects of the Million Dollar Challenge when making excuses for why he won't apply?

A success and applauded in paranormal community? You dont see the problem with that?! There is no proof for the paranormal so how can something be judged a success in a field with no scientific standing?

I dont care what Randi does, I admire his stance on woo and his magician career but that's it. It says a lot about the paranormal believers when all they can do is complain about Randi. He isn't the be all and end all, as Sheldrake pointed out there is Chris French,also Richard Wiseman. I assume many scientific organizations would be interested in finding postive results to prove paranormal.

Join in with Professor and Jim Callahan in slagging Randi off but realize it shows your shortcomings. If Randi -who isn't a scientist-is such a problem,how are "believers" going to manage with a real scientist?

but i think randi refers to a study they did on a guy that claimed his dog had esp
because the dog always run to the door before he got there
turns out the dog always was at the door when the guy get off work
