A most amusing but insightful take on Randis recent admission he was GAY on his own website JREF. That he had concealed this for his 80 suffering years, suggests the level of his deeply ingrained denialism, practised on many fronts. His total way of life. And likely the true source of of his irrational dislike of religions, and Holy books. It also suggests that some other miltant atheists (his followers) could be of a similar disaffected persuasion. The louder the denials the more we can suspect. And also Christopher Hitchins has just fessed up to homosexual practice. Only Richard Dawakins left.
For future reference, TOTALLY wrong section to be posting this in.
Hey, you there. Yes, you. Read more journal articles.
If what I say sounds like the teacher from Charlie Brown (Wah wahh woohh wuh waah), then you should try college. It's fun, and only costs you your soul and several tens of thousands of dollars.

Let's make directional hypotheses, test them repeatedly, replicate experiments, and publish results! Yay, science!

For every person who reads this valuable book there are hundreds of naïve souls who would prefer to have their spines tingled by a sensational but worthless potboiler by some hack journalist of the paranormal. I don't think Youtube can pull videos for bad taste alone.
But that was basically hate talk. It wouldn't be difficult for a rights group to argue that it violated this clause and get it pulled:
We encourage free speech and defend everyone's right to express unpopular points of view. But we don't permit hate speech (speech which attacks or demeans a group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, and sexual orientation/gender identity).

Why would he come out with this now though? Why not just keep it private? What is there to gain from this disclosure?

Who really cares? I sure as hell don't care what someone's sexual orientation is. (unless some dude tries to pinch my ass, then I may have a problem with that...)

He states that the film "Milk" had something to do with it. As far as "what is there to gain from this disclosure?", I'm sure he has many reasons. Not all of them personal.
