I'd like to hear your opinions on what this isThose of you who read this often know that I don't normally post things like this, but I am curious as to what you think are in this picture and/or how they got there (if you already know what they are).

Re: I'd like to hear your opinions on what this isThe linked image will not come up. I fixed it for you.
Re: I'd like to hear your opinions on what this isI'll venture a wild guess. Since the Egyptians seemed to have a grip on engineering, it wouldn't be too far of a leap of faith to think that they might also have the capacity for flight design but not yet have the basic materials. It also possible (there's that word again) that the pictures might be showing the design for these items built from natural light weight materials and human power.
Or, the Wright Brothers took the concept and ran with it. ![]()

Thanks for fixing the image NinjaPuppy. I gotta admit, the airplane I could see pretty easily being a hand-glider or something like that. I mean, it wouldn't take too much imagination to see birds and whatnot floating in the air and then trying to practice with light-weight materials. However, the helicopter, to me, is baffling and I think I'll look into that a little more...
Re: I'd like to hear your opinions on what this isParaeidolia is a funny subject isnt it?
im totally amazed by this.. where did you get it?? this is the greatest thing!! let´s play i see i see.. i see i see.. an helicopter i see i see a tv i see i see san francisco´s golden gate i see i see the jetson´s car i see i see the a zepellin, a submarine or a dildo For every person who reads this valuable book there are hundreds of naïve souls who would prefer to have their spines tingled by a sensational but worthless potboiler by some hack journalist of the paranormal. Re: I'd like to hear your opinions on what this is
I was watching a documentary last night on ancient technology and they discussed this a bit. It's taken off an Egyption wall from the time of King Tut. There is quite a bit of info out there, but according to the documentary, the tour guides are told not to point it out nor discuss it, leading to all sorts of conspiracy theories. Just google "ancient egypt helicopter"
Re: I'd like to hear your opinions on what this is
Up north, there are maple trees with seed pods that fall to the ground like little helicopters. We called those seed pods falling from the trees, 'whirley-birds'. Their natural design also allows them to float around on air currents pretty good. It wouldn't take much for someone to 'dream' up some sort of design based on a design from nature. It doesn't mean that the designed actually worked at that time.

I LOVE your skepticism on this Ninja!!! You're going to have one of those credit cards with James Randi's face on it yet... ![]()
Re: I'd like to hear your opinions on what this isAt first I thought it was just a cruel joke being played by one of our more cynical comics
![]() Glyder was mentioned and there was in fact a "toy airplane" found in Tut's tomb but most refer to it as a "kite" of some sort... oddly, the then flies about as good as the little balsa wood jobs we had when I was a kid. above the airplane shape though... that looks like Luke Skywalker's land speeder ![]()
Re: I'd like to hear your opinions on what this is
Although I was afraid people might think I was trying to make a joke out of it, I can honestly say that this bas relief is quite intriguing to me. Don't know why it's any different than a lot of conspiracy stuff out there, but that one thing really looks like a helicopter and a couple of the others do look like planes. I'm certainly not saying they had Apache's or F-111s in the King's arsenol, but I honestly do think it's at least just as worthy of discussion as Scepcop's irritable bowel movements.
Re: I'd like to hear your opinions on what this is
WHAT???? How is this skeptical??? Besides, you only posted a portion of that hieroglyphic message. How can I read the whole thing? Here's a pic of me in my yard: ![]()

You're being quite skeptical that they didn't have actual flying machines back in the day.
Re: I'd like to hear your opinions on what this isIt's actually a repaired hieroglyphic. The original was damaged. In the right lighting this is often shown to be so-called evidence for ancient astronauts, but its just a repair piece of stonework. Amazing how the people that post this image neglect to mention that.

Re: I'd like to hear your opinions on what this is
Not at all. I think that ancient astronauts could have existed but I don't think they were from Egypt. Those pics could represent just about anything and since ND mentioned that they were 'repairs', well.... there's no way to know what they looked like before the repair. As for someone talking to the dead, that's a similar thought process for me. I believe that there is some sort of communication but not as refined as some would like us to believe. Not to mention that there are a bajillion rational reasons for much of the 'noise' that has been claimed to be 'spirits'. Too much garbage has been thrown into the paranormal pot by those who feel a need for their 15 minutes of fame. Many beliefs are based on religious teaching as well. Such as when you die, you come back as a cow. Think about the whole reincarnation theory of some religions. If you come back, how can you possibly still be a 'spirit' communicating with mediums? You are either here or there. You can't be both, now can you? Personally, I think that those so called 'spirits' that are supposed to be stuck or earthbound are people who who were 'afraid' of going to 'hell' because they lived less than stellar lives. I personally don't believe in 'heaven' or 'hell' and I tend to lean more towards the recycling of 'souls' as a theory for that whole, 'life after death' thing.

I don't know Ninja. I believe you can only be "here" and there is no "there."
