Re: Taps gets owned by SouthparkThank you for posting that link. I had heard about this episode but I'm not a regular Southpark viewer. I was disappointed with the episode as the TAPS portion was a mere bit part and it seemed that the writers aren't all that familiar with the "Ghost Hunters" show.
I did enjoy their parallel with purgatory and airplane delays. Been there, done that, so to speak, and yes... it's very close to waiting to go to the gates of hell. Billy Mays was also very well done.
Re: Taps gets owned by Southpark
hahahaha i have to disagree it is safe to said EVERY GHOSTHUNTER show is like that and i love them all is people running scared from their own shadows, pretending they saw something, they felt something, they heard something but NEVER getting anything on camera, cameramen seems too busy recording their horrofying expressions instead of filming ¨the human face they just saw floating in that dark corner that is now gone¨ BS! Re: Taps gets owned by Southpark
Not so. Sorry. How many episodes of "Ghost Hunters" have you seen?
I don't know. I tried the obvious, which is to remove the spaces between the and it still didn't work.

Don't mind me, I'm playing here to see if I can figure it out. Got it. You somehow missed part of the code required for the HTML thingy.
Re: Taps gets owned by Southparkcan you direct me to a good ghosthunter link?
i find them all amusing, pretty much cheap rip offs of Blair Witch Project i saw paranormal state 1st season, some episodes of taps, celebrity ghosthunters (or something like that, a vh1 show with d list celebrities) and a bunch of national shows from local ghosthunters who are funny as hell. so yeah i do like those shows but they are pretty much all are what they look like on southpark nothing scientific nor respectable about them, is just entertainment a bunch of 3rd rate actors pretending they saw something For every person who reads this valuable book there are hundreds of naïve souls who would prefer to have their spines tingled by a sensational but worthless potboiler by some hack journalist of the paranormal. "Ghost Hunters" (AKA: TAPS) seasons 1 & 2 are pretty good. After that.... it goes a bit downhill due to poor production and editing. "Ghost Hunters International" is also available at that same website. They have some really nice and unusual travel locations to enjoy but the quality of the so called 'reality TV' part seems to be lacking. But that's just my opinion.
Re: Taps gets owned by Southparkis this good tv like the ones i mentioned or was it good investigations?

Re: Taps gets owned by Southpark
The first two seasons were pretty good. They spent more time finding logical reasons for much of the 'ghost' claims.
I don't have a particular favorite episode. But as stated above, I did enjoy the first two seasons. thanks for the links!
Re: Taps gets owned by Southparkyea south park sure owned them
most of these paranormal shows are nothing but BS - we have to suffer most haunted here , ( makes TAPS look good - and that's saying something enjoy LIFE - just filling the bits between birth, death and taxes
Re: Taps gets owned by SouthparkI agree that 'Most Haunted' is BAD. However, 'Paranormal State' is starting to make them look better.

Re: Taps gets owned by Southpark
I enjoy watching the show and I'm not sure why you and others here are so disparaging of TAPS and their investigations. What exactly is the critique? Is it that their (1) methods are sloppy or (2) they present "fake" evidence? Or both? As to the second claim, what evidence is there that TAPS fake their ghostly findings? As to critiquing their investigative method, what are some of the problems with how they conduct paranormal investigations? I'm new to all this paranormal investigation stuff, so I'd appreciate some concrete critiques that can help me to evaluate findings when I watch the show. Although to be honest, my favorite paranormal show isn't Ghost Hunters, but Ghost Adventures and their, uh, more unconventional approach to investigations.

WHOA DUDE! Did you know that Zak, Aaron and Nick, will be doing a live show on Friday, October 30? http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/G ... xtfmt=show It will be seven hours of fun! I will miss three hours of it, as I have to work that night.
Re: Taps gets owned by Southpark
None of the above.
Here is a blog dedicated to debunking TAPS: http://debunkthegunk.blogspot.com/ ProfX - I am a believer of 'ghosts'. I found the show 'Ghost Hunters' pleasantly refreshing as it began with plenty of logical explanations for much of the so called paranormal activity. They occasionally would find something that couldn't be explained and they would simply define it as 'paranormal' or 'unexplained'. As the show progressed, it seemed as if the producers or production crew felt a need to kick it up a notch and it morphed from 'debunking' to 'grasping at straws' with every little knock or bang.
No problem at all. Since there are no current 'scientific' methods established for this sort of thing, I applaud them for trying just about anything that might pick up any evidence to show their findings. I do have a problem with their lack of control over the production crew. Many times, they have no idea where excess crew members are during the recording sessions. They make it look like they are a bare bones staff but they have other people (camera crew, sound crew, production assistants, etc) present on site during the filming. I believe that some of the possible unexplained apparitions were nothing more than a crew member looking for the bathroom or food service truck or a crew member setting up for the next scene which will make walking noises or bangs. Lately, their EVPs have been for shizzle as well. What they are claiming to be 'voices' sound like background noise lately. In previous seasons of the show, they seemed to present only occasional sounds that were of the 'A' variety. As I listen to their EVPs, I hear tummy growls, clothing rustles, burps, and I'm sure there has been an occasional "Most Farted" moment captured on tape. They seem to hear, GET OUT!
