Check it out, you get a whole bunch of people who have been blind since birth. Take them to a hospital. Stop all of their hearts. Bring them back and have them tell you what they experienced.

If those that recall an NDE give accurate details about their surroundings during the time they were "dead", then congratulations! You've made one of the greatest discoveries in human history since sliced bread. Get rich and grow fat.

Theres a large study right now going on studying NDEs (not deliberately induced of course!) called the AWARE study.

Some blind people have reported vision during NDEs FWIW.

There's been a ton of "verification" by such people but the naysayers love to turn what's been said, into a logic puzzle or negate what these people claim as being "misremembering" or some kind of subconscious recollection, etc.

The problem comes in the fact that there's not PHYSICAL way by which to prove the NDE that critics will accept for any number of reasons, including the fact that they can't replicate something 1,001 times or learn how to exploit the technique and in turn, have the military complex steal it for their purposes.

In the Holy Bible, there are passages reflecting life after death e.g. St. John 5:24 (AV). In our present state of existence, here on earth, will it ever be proved? Everyone seeks to understand and everyone’s perspective is varied in character on this subject. As for me, I do not believe that proof will come. Still, man tries because it’s our nature. Further Biblical insight in Matt. 12:38-45; Luke 11:16, 29-32; John 14: 2-3; 1 Cor. 15:42-54; 2 Cor. 12:2-4.

I hear God approves of spam when its accompanied by biblical quotes.

The problem I think is that with all the technological advances in this day and age you can pretty much disapprove anything....photos are easily tampered with etc etc we know more about the brain than ever before and people just don't trust other people anymore! the aware project I think will give a negative result, if people do have nde,s they are hardly likely to be able to read or see an object they didn't know they were meant to be seeing high above them...even so even if they do affirm the characters pics etc there are so many ways it can be debunked! Here's an idea...how about you stop all the hearts of 25 hard nosed skeptics including randi and see if any of them report anything..you never know!

Can the story of life after death be explained by he parable of Lazarus he beggar and the rich man? Both died right?

When is this AWARE project supposed to be completed? And what are the specs on it? Are they using a sufficiently large group? This should be quite interesting.

Another, easier test would just be to round up blind astral projectors. I'm sure they exist. Just sit them in a room, put something in a room next to them on a table, something easy to remember but definitely unique, like an orange vase with blue flowers in it or something, and have them report it.

Some of the best clairvoyant types assigned to history have been blind, there are legends that go back thousands of years in which the mystic/seer was blind and yet seen as a prophet. Some biblical historians have even suggested the John of Patmos was blind (the guy that wrote Revelations).

I was involved with a group in San Jose that was working with a group of blind young people (14-30 years in age), teaching them meditation and mental projection techniques. The results were quite fascinating in that these people could name the color of ribbons or feathers, etc. sealed inside envelops after focusing on them for a few minutes. One young lady became a painter, delivering some very impressive landscape paintings which I believe to be on the market still, selling at a rather good price. In other words, what you propose has been done within the Psychic community itself, this particular experiment being conducted by the Alpha Consciousness group headed by Bro. Anthony Penera and I want to say it was U.C. Berkly that was involved but I'm probably wrong on that, it's been a while and me brain cells are misfiring. But even Helen Kellar claimed to know colors by touch. . .

Not the story I heard, and I was told by a lady who remember Ms. Kellar visiting their home when she was a girl. But that's aside the point, many a person that were completely blind from birth (big difference between "Legally" blind and "Completely" blind) have proven it possible to denote color and frequently, shape from a distance, without touching it. The catch is, they haven't all allowed scientist torture them at infinite levels of invasion to deliver the level of documentation that the faux skeptics will accept. Hopefully the research being done at present will deliver some kind of definitive.
