I don't know how the thread was locked. Apparenlty "someone" reported it to the moderator because "someone" was too stupid to realize that a graphic image was actually a special effect from a movie.

Honest people say what they know. Dishonest people don't volunteer information.

I've no idea what you're talking about. Maybe you should try explaining things.I wrote a parody about Carl Sagan. Here's another parody of the type of Carl Sagan astronomy.

It's been shown that people who don't understand sarcasm and irony have damaged brains.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/03/healt ... 3sarc.htmlSatire and parody are also frequently misunderstood. For example, The Onion recieves many complaints from people who think the stories are real. And I noticed Nostradamus has a problem with understanding satire and parody.
Anything to declare, Nostradamus?

Some other Sagan quotes
Skeptical scrutiny is the means, in both science and religion, by which deep thoughts can be winnowed from deep nonsense. -
The method of science is tried and true. It is not perfect, it's just the best we have. And to abandon it with its skeptical protocols is the pathway to a dark age."
It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring".

Carl Sagan constantly preached in his books and videos about the need for space exploration. His Planetary Society continues to support these frivolous science priorities of sending people to Mars. Oh look, right on their front page is advocacy for NASA human space flight.
http://www.planetary.org/home/The NASA Constellation program is cancelled by Obama. Really .. it's cancelled. Don't even think about funding it:
http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewpr.html?pid=30396Beside the Planetary Society, who else supports the Bush/NASA Constellation program? People who hate Obama .. and .. Lyndon LaRouche conspiracy nuts:
http://www.larouchepac.com/The LaRouche people are actually making political progress .. getting votes .. because of this issue. Lyndon LaRouche and Carl Sagan .. on the same side?

Here's a hint Kevin. Assuming the converse is a logical fallacy.

I remember the protest marches in the US where people staged rallies against the space program. There were rallies with people carrying signs complaining that any money spent on space was a waste of money. Kevin you missed your place in time. Those rallies were are a part of history.
