What about 404 page load errors? Do any of you ever get them?

Yes! No more 404s here, since the switch.

Probably not. lol

Yeah the ladies forum went down after my sites migrated to a new server. The database for it seems to have disappeared after the migration. I don't know why. I'm having Godaddy tech support work on it, but they are taking a long time.

Godaddy advanced hosting finally recovered the database and sent it to me. But I had trouble importing it. And after they did it for me, the ladies forum is still down. I don't know why. Now it says that the database is unknown. These problems make no sense. And everyone involved tries to pass the blame on to someone else.

You can read my conversation with phpbb support about it here:

Winston - I don't know what to say other than thank you for trying to get this problem resolved. The time and effort that you have put into this goes above and beyond.

OH MY! It's gone from being on life support to flat lining!

Fatal: ./cache/ is NOT writable.

Wow you are on the ball. Yeah that happened after I restored it through the database management panel. All I had to do to fix that was add a "cache" folder to the directory for it to write to.

Don't you hate how with computers and websites and databases, the most miniscule error brings down everything?

Anyway, it looks like the ladies forum is working now. After trying the restore function in my database manager and selecting the restored database, it looks like the forum is finally restored:

For some reason, the database manager worked better than using phpmyadmin. If anyone here is interested, have a look at our topics there, and the nice theme colors as well. :)

We are finally moving to Bluehost. See announcement and updates here:

viewtopic.php?f=24&t=3409

Please save your new forum posts in the meantime, in case they get lost during the migration. You can just save them in an offline file like Notepad or MS Word.
