What's A Poor Skeptic To Do?

A new poll [ http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main ... ults-.html ] was just released by Public Policy Polling, concerning Americans’ belief (and disbelief) in conspiracy theories. This headline from MSN.com tells the story well, especially for skeptics.

True dat.

Among other results, the poll reports that:

21% of voters believe the government covered up a UFO crash at Roswell (27% of Romney voters believe in the cover-up as compared with 16% of Obama voters)

20% of voters believe there is a link between childhood vaccines and autism, 51% do not

13% think Obama is the Antichrist

9% of voters think the government adds fluoride to our water supply for sinister reasons (not just dental health)

7% of voters think the moon landing was faked

5% of voters believe that Paul McCartney actually died in 1966

4% believe that "shape-shifting reptilian people control our world by taking on human form and gaining political power to manipulate our societies."

14% of voters believe in Bigfoot

You wouldn't be saying because you are part of the conspiracy, would you?

If we take the etymology of the word "conspiracy" in its original form than I would have to say I am a "conspirator." Really, the fact that you and we "breath together" whether under unwitting forces or not also means you are a conspirator. The question should therefore be, if you are a conspirator are your actions selfish and harmful? Are your actions visible or invisible? Do you conspire with others to bring about the truth against those conspirators who lie or vice versa? Are your forces and actions harmful? In essence, are we not all conspiracy theorists as David Ray Griffin has pointed out?

Conspiracy: Comes from Latin word 'conspirare' meaning to breathe together; conspiracy theories emphasize the invisible forces and actions (of selfish harmful intent by special interests) behind the visible historical events.

Damnit, Arouet! E-lizard-death is NOT going to like this. Now she's gonna have to send Black Helicopters under telepathic control to take you to the Denver Airport underground base to let the Bigfoots and aliens use you for traumatically induced mind control experiments. Let's just hope the satanists/luciferians/masons/Subway sandwich artists don't get involved!

Welcome CanadianBroad! Do you happen to know Arouet? Just so you know, I do hear that he is one of the Queen's minions, so be cautious.
