Ghostfellas - I swear I am not making this up

Postby Nostradamus » Sun Mar 07, 2010 4:00 am

From http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2010/03/06/2010-03-06_tales_from_mob_side_intuitive_private_eye_looks_for_the_spirits_of_whacked_wiseg.html

Intuitive L.I. man hopes to connect with spirits of those whacked by mob for new show 'Ghostfellas'

Not just any dead - but those snuffed by the mob whose relatives hope to reach them in the great beyond.

Searches for "Ghostfellas" is the concept of a possible new reality show whose pilot was shot in the sanctuary known to be a favorite gangland graveyard.

No ghosts dropped in Friday, but James McBratney, the brains behind the project, insisted "the shoot was great" because a woman whose father and brother were slain when she was 11 "found closure."
Scimitars were not available - beware January 19, 2038 is upon us.

Before they tore it down, I had pitched the folks at the Flamingo Hilton in Vegas about doing a Seance in Benie Segal's "Hide Out" -- it was a very interestingly rigged up apartment complete with a quick get-away and other self-preservation elements.

This kind of thing has been done for years... I have collected all sorts of "junk" tied to Chicago's gangland of the 30's & 40's for that very purpose; a brick from the garage where the Valentine's Day Massacre took place (as well as several News Papers with headlines, a Tommy Gun, etc.). The public romanticizes this stuff so when it comes to "show biz" it's quite practical. ;)

Any truth to the rumors of those bricks from the St. Valentine's Day massacre bringing bad luck or is that more schtick to drive up the price of the bricks owned by that one guy?
