My new member information

Postby FrancoisDuboisSJ » 07 Aug 2012, 16:02

I am Francois Dubois SJ. I am a 61-year-old male. I have been a professional photographer all of my life beginning at age 13 when I apprenticed to a local portrait photographer in my home town of Charleston, West Virginia. Following high school, I briefly attended a small church college in Ohio but was not interested in the religious aspects of the school and so, enlisted in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman serving with the US Marine Corps in SE Asia.

I saw much combat and experienced my first "visions" of some of my dead Marines walking away from their bodies. I chalked it up to the terror of battle. I was severely wounded in my second tour on Friday the 13th, 1973. I was unconcious for several weeks and the Navy, fearing I would die, sent me to the hospital nearest my parent's home just north of Orlando, Florida. While comatose, I experienced many "visitations" from some of those dead Marines. They comforted me.

I recovered but was confined to a wheel chair for many months. During that period I completed college with a BFA in Photography and Journalism. I worked in the print media and radio as a newsman and a disc jockey. Following graduate school, I was deemed fit to reenter naval service and was commissioned. My MS was in Communications and I worked throughout the world flying and downloading satellite systems. For a period of four years, I became a Reserve Officer and worked again in photography and broadcasting.

At the outset of Desert Shield-Desert Storm, I served on active duty once more in Saudi Arabia and Iraq, I was wounded again and was retired.

Throughout my life I have been interested in the survival of the human spirit after death. I've interviewed several spiritual mediums and found most were honest, insightful and accurate. In the past three years I accompanied several paranormal groups to hauntings as the photographer. I have made many photographs of activity (including what appear to be some sort of faces) unexplained fogs and energetic discharges of light. I have conducted EVP's and was frankly astonished by the results.

I want to learn more. I have a reason: my best friend from childhood and though out my life, Bert H, died in Roseville MN on April 10, 2011. He died from pancreatic cancer. It took a long time and he and I spent hours every day speaking together about what was to come. Bert was not the only person dying that year. I was a hospice patient at Hospice of Huntington (WV). Just after Bert's death, I was transferred, for the last time, to the Hospice House. I was there until December 8, 2011 when I was "healed," but not by a faith healer or preacher. Bert came to me and told me to go home, that it was not time to die. He visits me still. I want to understand this. is he really here or is it my desire to see him?

Perhaps you who are more adept can help me find out. I will repay you with photographic services.

Welcome!

I responded (briefly) to your other topic but I'd like to know more about this-
I was unconcious for several weeks and the Navy, fearing I would die, sent me to the hospital nearest my parent's home just north of Orlando, Florida. While comatose, I experienced many "visitations" from some of those dead Marines. They comforted me.

I had watched my dad experience this exact thing a few days before he passed away. I found it to be mystifying to watch and listen to my dad chat with old friends and relatives. He even asked them what it was like "over there". Since I couldn't see or hear his "guests", I don't have their answers. I do know that my dad seemed very pleased with what they told him.

Would you care to share a pic or two from your paranormal investigations? I'd love to see them.
