 Ok and we could even say "demonic" in that they seem to lack any sense of humanity. But we've drifted away from the issue here, which is how Winston loves to be paranoid or at minimum, spread paranoia around these things. My argument is that we can't have ET ruling the world and not have the tech to make a lunar landing. . . if you are going to support the one, you must support the plausibility of the other or else, you cancel out the ET connection and give human being credit for being able to figure things out and make it to the moon & back. . . we're not a bunch of ignorant apes, after all.

I have no problem with the concept of other intelligent life in the universe. Depending on one's assumptions, it may even be likely.

The big problem I have with all of it is distance. If these beings are out there they are VERY far away. As far as we know, there is no way to travel faster than the speed of light. Now, that's not to say it isn't possible, but we're not aware of how at this time. so we can't just assume that other intelligent beings have figured out a way to travel faster than the speed of light (and not just faster, but mnay times faster), or learned how to bend space time and travel through coming out in one piece. We have reason to be very skeptical of reports of extraterrestrial ships.

Plus, with all the reports, if we are to believe in a few percent of them, not only are aliens visiting us, but we're positively overrun by them! Overun, but yet they all keep stealthy and avoid detections by all but less than a handful of people.

Again, we have reason to be skeptical.

You mean a sociopath? Nothing demonic about it and they certainly walk among us every day.

Craig Browning wrote:But we've drifted away from the issue here, which is how Winston loves to be paranoid or at minimum, spread paranoia around these things.

Paranoid and spread paranoia? Meh. I'll give you that he's very passionate about CTs and has a higher than average interest in them. Some people enjoy a good game of golf, Winston likes to get into hot debate about paranormal and all things of questionable nature.

Point taken. If ETs do walk among us, then they (not we) do have the tech to make a lunar landing. Does that mean that this information is going to be shared with the average human? Do we have the materials required to accomplish this successfully here on this planet? Can a human being survive such a journey without any health complications?

If you subscribe to the "we went to the moon and back" camp, then of course you already know these answers. If you subscribe to the "Moon Hoax" side of the debate, you tend to continue to question these things. Questioning things that one does not understand or believe is my favorite pastime. I don't play golf. Obviously, neither does Winston.

You can say that again baby! I tend to not take many first hand accounts seriously. I tend to be biased against any accounts from any person who tells their account with a six pack of beer in both of their first hands. This will include anyone, who in my personal opinion gives me an instant case of "The Willies" and no, I don't really need a good reason for an authentic case of "The Willies".

We have more reasons to be skeptical than we do to believe one way or another on such topics. But then they wouldn't be Conspiracy Theories, they'd be nothing more than dumbassed arguments between uninformed participants. To continue to look for answers and/or concrete proof is what a skeptic does. Arouet has written a perfect explanation without bias. Thank you!

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you on this statement Ninja. I don't recall one time Winston has gotten into a "hot debate." In fact, I don't remember a time when he's even debated anything much less a passionate one. My observation is that he'll post something, tell us all to have open minds and that if we reject something then we're not "freethinkers" and that we follow "the establishment." I would love for Winston to get into a debate, but until I see it with my own eyes, I don't believe he can do that.

Point taken. Allow me to rephrase my statement: Winston likes to bring controversial topic material to this forum for debate. The 'hot' part comes into the mix when certain people read the subject titles and/or when Winston doesn't play along at home.

What you meant was that Winston likes to bring controversial topics to this forum and them drop them like a hot potato!

(yes winston, we're egging you on, all you have to do is stick with a topic for more than 2 posts and you can shut us up on this!)

He's been pretty quiet lately on 9/11 theories as well. I've been waiting for him to post the next Richard Gage youtube video for a while now...

Hmmmm.... First things, first. I'll need to think, think, think about who Bill & Bob are.

BTW, congrats on the 30 years.
