Do you believe that they really killed Bin Laden?

Discuss Conspiracies and Cover Ups - e.g. 9/11 Truth, JFK Assassination, New World Order, Roswell, Moon Hoax, Secret Societies, etc. whatever conspiracy floats your boat.

One account has him 'buried' in a cave at Tora Bora. It's equally possible he's died somehow in a US or ISAF hospital. Then the body can't be 'used'. Further, it would be pretty badly decomposed after a few days, and that is not how devout Muslims treat their dead, they have to dispose of the body ASAP. They're not all cold, calculating Anglos you know. Further, their DNA technology is a little limited, if it came to that, not that I trust anyone saying they've found a DNA match for someone in such circumstances. He got a visit once from the local CIA guy while in a hospital in Dubai getting dialysis.

Doesn't sound like there's much good public evidence all around...

It's a funny old world military spooks inhabit, isn't it. The whole idea is that we are left to conjecture, or just accept the official story that we are given on a plate. George Orwell wrote 1984 from his personal experience working in the Ministry of Intelligence at the close of WWII.

? You mean:

Although the Obama administration has pledged to be the most transparent in American history, it is keeping a tight hold on materials related to the bin Laden raid. In a response to separate requests from the AP for information about the mission, the Defense Department said in March that it could not locate any photographs or video taken during the raid or showing bin Laden's body. It also said it could not find any images of bin Laden's body on the Vinson.

The Pentagon also said it could not find any death certificate, autopsy report or results of DNA identification tests for bin Laden, or any pre-raid materials discussing how the government planned to dispose of bin Laden's body if he were killed.

That's funny, Americans have never been respectful to other countries or religions before. Witness the high jinks of out of uniform troops in Baghdad etc in GW II. Or the many pics coming back from the middle east, and reports of the treatment of locals by disaffected troops. And the info coming out of Gitmo, etc. Usually pretty triumphalist, too, you would think a few happy snaps would have been taken of their supposed bitterest enemy.

What you don't believe he's dead ?

There's no particular reason to suspect it, except there are reports he died back in about 2001 from kidney failure. It's more plausible he died then than that he is still alive today, as clearly no-one would want him to pop up again from the grave -- he probably isn't amenable to taking bribes and shaving off the beard and going underground, as the 'emanuel goldstein' of the 1984 terror society that's been created...

First answer: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/0 ... 56319.html. Which is it? No DNA or DNA? Why can't we have the results? Why can't the Pentagon find the results?

http://news.yahoo.com/internal-emails-o ... itics.html

Second answer: No, I believe Bin Laden is dead. The question is when did he die when the intelligence community was split on this issue?

Maybe this reporter is making a mountain out of a molehill ? Personally I don't expect this report needs or will get much response. Most people want to move on with life and not review something that has no relevance in their lives.

giving thanks for living in a state of perpetual war in the 1984 society.... ;)

where your money goes:

Why does the Pentagon need a budget of $344 billion -- which would be over three times as much as the combined defense spending of Russia, China, and America's potential adversaries (Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria)? And this does include not the over $200 billion spent by U.S. allies annually on defense.

Hi SydneyPSIder,

Actually, it is:

For the 2010 fiscal year, the president's base budget of the Department of spending on "overseas contingency operations" brings the sum to $663.84 billion. That's a lot of turkey! Perhaps, pork is a better term.

This comment on YouTube made a great point:

BULLSHIT,the navy seals did not kill Bin Laden, Why would you kill the most wanted person who was never even charged with a crime? Isn't it procedure to gather as much intelligence from him as possible and then bring him to trial? Of course not, because you can't bring a guy to trial who's already been dead for years.I really am hoping our government stops lying to us..fat chance..just until they make up an excuse to invade Iran, Syria or Venezuela.

I would think the US government would much rather he be dead than available to testify at trial and go into detail about how the US helped fund his early days - what advantage do they have in a trial?

The best argument for Bin Laden not having been killed long ago is why would Al Qaeda go along with it? Wouldn't it be a great strike against America to show that they had lied? How do you get them to cooperate like that?

That said, as I've said before, the US handled the post execution very badly. It's like they wanted there to be conspiracy theories. Maybe they did? I dunno.
