Well, I could do that, but I'm not sure "I really don't know what to think" is a very exciting position to be coming from for other people. Granted, there are some areas I feel more confident on, but even those are all still works in progress as far as I'm concerned.

I don't base my affection from outside appearances. It's what's inside that counts.

Besides, I have mad skillz when it comes to tracing IPs. We Mods have all the fun. You are an impressive young man.

You're definitely attempting to butter me up now with the young man talk. I'm 40 next year. ;)

Such a baby. I guess I'll have to turn my attention to someone more my age, like Marcello Truzzi.

Oh crap! He died at the age of 67. Well that's no fun. At my age, all the good ones are dead.

The23rdman wrote:Interesting discussion everyone despite the emotionally charged posting and circular arguments.

I consider my self a true zetetic and never jump to conclusions because I never expect to have all the available information. The very best we can do is work on probabilities and allow ourselves to be open to information from all directions. The problem, as I see it, with discussions like this - and all others here - is that it is human nature to defend a position and, more importantly, to make emotional decisions, vest some of ourselves into them and then become attached to them as part of us. Attack our pet theory and you attack us. This happens on both sides of the debate.

anyway, I just wanted to throw a little sanity into the discussion and say that the only way to truly find peace is to remain open like a sponge and recognise truth is probably beyond our little domesticated monkey minds. ;)

Welcome to this discussion, The23rdman. I look forward to your insights on this topic.

Also, I decided to Google "Zeteticism" for the benefit of the forum. Please let us know if this accurate?

So Misha, Syd (and any newcommer): We've taken a quick look at White's piece, and the admittedly unsourced Cluvius piece. I've identified some areas that to me it looks like White didn't cover. Do you agree with my assessment? Or is there something I'm missing in White's paper? (or maybe he addressed them somewhere else?).

If we're in agreement that White didn't cover those areas, then we can take a closer look at the Cluvius position and see how it measures up. If you think White did address those issues we should get that position down first.

Who's "WE"? Are you skepticals having a party without us or are you using the Royal "We" as in everyone reading this topic?

I like this way of doing things. Carry on.

I guess I'm assuming everyone actually read the two links, especially as I went through the white piece paragraph by paragraph, but I guess that might be an incorrect assumption...
