They're all over the place. Big Foot, yetti, yowie, you name it. I Googled up Big Foot and was actually amazed at how little there was. I would think that there would be a ton of blurry pics of black bears, rocks, etc. but not even that.

I come from the land of the Jersey Devil. He seems to have been reduced to a tourist thing. Not much ever said about him any more.

Check up in Union City. My Father In-law lives there...

Union City might as well be a different continent from where the Jersey Devil was born. ;)

There was a photo taken in PA that is claimed to be a juvenile bigfoot of all things. The photo is more likely to a bear, a bear with mange.

One of the main problems for the bigfoot believers is that after decades and decades they have no real evidence of the creature. No scat, blood, hair, or other body samples have been found. Ecological studies do not show the existence of any large unknown mammals in the ecosystems where people are looking.

I know bear researchers and they place wires in the woods to collect hair samples. The wires are like barbed wire. The collected hair is used for DNA testing to count the number of individuals in an area. No unknown mammal DNA has ever shown up in one of these studies which are carried out across the country.

In a funny story some bigfoot seekers placed a trap to collect blood. They got some blood on their board with nails in it. Sounds horrific doesn't it? They can't use that in Gitmo can they? Anyways after samples were sent to a half dozen labs finally they got a result they liked - could not be identified. So there was proof that something unidentified existed. Well, actually the report stated something about the contamination of the sample with rust made the blood sample unusable. It was painful enough to think of stepping on a clean nail, but to step on a filthy nail that's downright cruel. Don't worry, another lab identified human blood in the sample they were provided. So someone and not something apparently stepped on the rusty nail.

Seems that Bigfoot showed up again at a park in Ohio. Yup. It's 23,000 acres. That about 10,000 hectares unless you're one of the unfortunate people in the US using acres.

Interesting.

"Even Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb from NBC's Today Show went "footing" in the park in search of a Sasquatch or two."

Did you happen to notice the 'fashion statement' being made by Kathy Lee Gifford in that video? Instead of hunting 'Bigfoot' she looked like she should have been hunting wabbits. Very 'Elmer Fudd' if you ask me.

From the article:
"Park officials said they have never found any real physical evidence of the creature, but the speculation has put the park in the national spotlight. In addition, the talk has helped tourism since people want to try to see the creature for themselves."
Oh c'mon. Next thing I'm going to hear is that people want tourism so it will put money into the local economy and ultimately put money into their pocket. Oh, wait a minute...
